This years childrens fishing comp

The club would like to thank Celtic Energy for they kind donation of £600.00
for the children's compitition this year,
The money went towards life jackets, rods, reels, nets, fishing bags, and lots more once again Thank you very much.
Glynneath & District Angling Association
held its schools education fishing lessons on the19 may on the Glynneath river, the schools that took part were
Blaengwrach Primary, Cwm Nedd Primary School,
Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmnedd,
In total over 30 school children took part on different stretches of the river, most of the children all caught fish all children went through various demonstrations on the basics on how to fish, witch included how to tie a line with a hook and weight, how to bait the hook with a worm and how to cast, they were also shown what happens to the sea trout and salmon when they go to sea and return to spawn, and were shown what type of insects are in the river on witch the fish feed on.
all schools enjoyed and were all awarded with a participation certificate, the fishing club hope to make this an annual event from now on, The club would like to thank the schools that took part and thanks to the teachers and their helpers and most of all to the children,
